£30,000 - £34,000 per annum dependant on experience

G4S Patient Transport Services (PTS) is one of the UK’s largest Non-Emergency Patient Transport providers, carrying out over 50,000 journeys on behalf of the NHS every year. With 12 operational bases across the UK and a dedicated call centre, we employ over 720 members of staff to deliver safe, caring, high-quality patient transport.
About the Role
As a Workforce Planning and Scheduling Officer, you will work as part of the Workforce Management Team
ensuring rostering and payment sign-off of employees across all G4S Patient Transport Services (PTS). This will be achieved through expertise and experience in utilisation, development and use of Workforce
Management systems. The role will also involve forecasting workforce thresholds up to 6 months in
advance to best manage the efficiency and demand of the front line operation and working closely with
the Workforce Planning and Scheduling Manager.
Whilst Line Managing a small team of Administrators, some of the key responsibilities for this role are;
Accurate and timely input of shift allocations into the Kronos Time and Attendance System
Forecast workforce requirements against demand capacity alongside the Workforce Scheduling
Manager
Ensuring rostering deadline and timeline requirements are met
Ensuring accurate shift allocations in Kronos by payroll cut off and confirming these shifts as
required
Reviewing leave applications to ensure service coverage
Organising replacement staff for unfilled shifts, including short notice replacement
requirements.
First point of contact for payroll enquiries for PTS staff
Plan and schedule own work to meet required timelines and outputs
Actively seeking ways to improve work efficiency and identify areas where opportunities for
business improvements can be realised
Share information widely with others through verbal and written communication
Assist in the promotion of creating a positive Health & Safety culture across the site leading by
example, this includes reporting accidents and near misses in a timely manner & follow the
applicable safe systems of work for the role.
About you
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong communication skills and ideally have previous
experience of workforce planning. You must have strong administration skills, excellent organisational and
time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as working proactively and using your
own initiative.
