Job title: Senior Procurement Practitioner

Salary: From £34,032
What you’ll be doing:
1. Contract management – major subcontract & transactional
2. Undertaking all aspects of procurement related activity to cost, quality and schedule
3. Delivering Procurement expertise in line with corporate Procurement policy and process in line with business requirements and performance objectives
4. You will have the ability to work as part of a team at pace, be professional within the procurement field and be flexible at all points of the procurement lifecycle
5. Undertaking reporting, data analysis, updating contracting documents and other ad hoc activities
Your skills and experiences:
1. Competent knowledge of contracts and how to manage these
2. Excellent communication skills within a similar professional setting
3. SAP knowledge with previous experience in Procurement preferable
4. Proficient IT user – Purchase Order/ERP systems, Microsoft Office applications

The Procurement team:
As a Senior Procurement Practitioner at BAE Systems, you will support the placing and managing of contracts for products and/or services. The equipment is provided by suppliers across the UK & overseas. This is a fast-paced, commercial procurement environment with a varied range of development opportunities, working as part of a diverse team to deliver part of the UK’s National Defence Programme. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
