We are working with a secondary school in Warwick as they look for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA3) with experience in supporting students with autism to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. The position is full-time, but the school is open to a job-share arrangement for candidates interested in part-time work. There's also the possibility of the role turning permanent.
This role involves providing dedicated support to students with autism across various age groups, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop essential social and communication skills. The successful candidate will lead targeted interventions and collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment that fosters each student’s growth and confidence.
The school is looking for a skilled and patient individual with recent experience supporting students with autism and a proactive approach to adapting support strategies to meet diverse needs.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Recent experience supporting students with autism, with the ability to lead structured, autism-specific interventions.
* Strong understanding of autism support techniques and the ability to create individualized support plans.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a compassionate approach to helping students achieve their academic and social goals.
* Experience tracking student progress and adjusting support strategies as needed to promote ongoing development.
