NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. The shift pattern is Monday - Friday 5/7, 2 weekends on, one weekend off, 3 week cycle. Supporting the provision of quality patient care and Retail Service within Gartnavel Campus. The Facilities Directorate deliver a variety of services (e.g. patient and retail catering, domestic cleaning, portering, transport) which supports and contributes to the provision of quality patient care. Knowledge – HNC or equivalent experience including 3yrs experience of working in a Supervisory role 1. Knowledge of all aspects of Facilities Services with particular focus on Catering services 2. Knowledge of Health & Safety (training provided e.g. Working Safely) 3. Knowledge of C.O.S.H.H. (training provided) 4. Knowledge of Lifting and Handling (training provided) 5. Knowledge of Infection Control practices (training provided) 6. Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations 7. Knowledge of appropriate Quality Standards 8. Knowledge of Continuous improvement 9. Knowledge and awareness of HR policies and procedures Training 1. Training in the use of all machinery used (training provided) 2. Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (training provided) 3. Supervisory Skills Training 4. Ability to perform all tasks and duties throughout Facilities department. Experience 1. Experience of Facilities services provision with direct experience in Catering Services 2. Working knowledge of Health and Safety and Infection Control. 3. Good communication skills 4.
