DevOps Manager-(Russian Speaking)-Trading - City of London - £130,000 - £140,000 + Bonus with Remote Working
Overview:
We have a fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest online Trading platforms in the world. This organisation is one of the world's largest social networks for traders and investors with over 90 million users worldwide.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a geographically distributed team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
2. Drive the development and automation of cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and highly available.
3. Collaborate closely with development teams to streamline processes, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure the seamless integration of DevOps practices.
4. Ensure the security and fault tolerance of systems by implementing best practices and monitoring compliance with industry standards.
5. Oversee the use of infrastructure management and CI/CD tools ensuring efficient automation of provisioning and deployment processes.
6. Collaborate with leadership to align DevOps strategies with overall business goals and technical roadmaps.
7. Lead the incident response process, ensuring quick resolution of infrastructure issues and continuous improvement of processes.
Essential skills and Experience:
1. 5+ years of experience in DevOps, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
2. Experience leading geographically distributed teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across time zones.
3. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and experience with infrastructure management tools such as Terraform.
4. Experience in implementing and maintaining secure and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure.
5. Proven ability to manage and mentor teams, driving performance and collaboration across departments.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between development and operations teams.
7. Fluency in Russian is required for effective communication within the team and across the company.
Desirable skills:
1. Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud environments, including IAM, encryption, and compliance standards.
2. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
3. Solid understanding of containerisation and orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes.
4. Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus) for maintaining infrastructure health and performance.
5. Experience operating services in colocation or on-premise data centres.
