We now have an opportunity for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our Property Services department to carry out day-to-day, repairs, void works, cyclical and planned maintenance activities. Our Maintenance and Repairs department plays a vital role in the smooth running of Squared by currently looking after approximately 800 units; including Squared-owned properties, homes, hostels (both internal and external), houses of multiple occupancy (HMOs) and office premises. The role You will specialise in different trades including carpentry and joinery services. Support the maintenance team in providing a quality maintenance service whilst providing excellent customer service for Squared customers. Some of your duties will include: • Responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures and fixtures working with building materials (most often wood). • Build/install window frames, doors, staircases and fences. Going to selected retailors and obtaining the materials you require for the works. • Installing kitchens and bathrooms including material preparation and handling. Additionally, you will provide support in analysing and improving the processes, and work to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency. About you We are looking for an individual with extensive experience multiple trades including carpentry and joinery. You will also have experience in working within a customer centred environment a as a multi-skilled tradesperson with experience in plumbing, painting, tiling, plastering repairs, light groundworks such as installing fence panels, flooring repairs, drylining, ironmongery repairs etc. You will be self-motivated, have good communication skills, be IT literate and have the skills to plan and prioritise effectively. Due to the nature of the work, you must have a full clean UK driving licence, a company vehicle will be provided for work purposes.
