As a Senior Personal Injury Handler, you will support the Personal Injury department in its objective of effectively managing OIC/MOJ/Fast track Personal injury claims.
Through the development of departmental processes, training and implementation of change, your technical expertise will play a key role in ensuring the Personal Injury Team remains at the forefront of the evolving personal injury picture.
What will I be doing?
You’ll be:
* Directly managing claims up to a value of £25k across all areas of Personal Injury in accordance with the claim’s philosophy, claims handling procedures and service levels
* Acting as a point of technical expertise to help shape the team's ongoing strategy
* Carrying out departmental audits to ensure best practice within the department
* Providing assistance, coaching and training colleagues to ensure a high level of technical ability within the team
* Supporting the team leader in the delivery of change projects to ensure continual improvement
* Working closely with internal claims teams such as Credit Hire and counter fraud to ensure claims with these elements are correctly managed and risks mitigated
What do I need?
* Thorough knowledge of insurance with a strong understanding of the principles of insurance
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in Personal Injury claims
* An in-depth understanding of the motor insurance claims market and how it operates and have a track record of using this knowledge to drive efficiencies
* Effective communication & interpersonal skills
* Stakeholder management, ability to build strong networks & influence upwards
* Good analytical skills -Management Information (MI) – attention to detail
