Why this job matters
As part of the P&FS team this role is responsible for the delivery and retaining standards of brilliant workspace to support our colleagues to do their best work, in the right strategic locations. The Property team over the next 10 years and beyond will be continuing to deliver key projects and programmes transforming the BT Groups strategic ambitions. BT continue to invest in our Workplace producing quality refurbishments that our colleagues deserve. The office strategy team also support an ever evolving operational estate.
In this role you will manage the property life-cycle strategy and activities within the regional office estate, ensuring that the shape of the regional office estate meets the occupation and usage requirements for Business Units and is consistent with the BT Property strategy across the UK.

What you’ll be doing
• Coordinate and lead property projects to drive the ongoing delivery of property strategy and plans. Property projects include, large refurbishment projects, vacations & closures, people moves and minor works/furniture changes
• Ensure collaborative working relationships with internal and external partners to provide solutions and implement projects to ensure the strategy for office projects delivers the desired colleague experience as set out in the BT workplace design and standards guide, whilst also ensuring that it is aligned with CFU occupation trends gathered from learnings and evidence based data
• Provide technical expertise, strategic consultancy to the business and thought leadership, ensuring feasibility of projects and programmes and the delivery of real property and commercial benefits to the business unit or region of responsibility
• Shape the UK office estate property strategy to meet the needs of CFUs, managing property life cycle events to deliver an office estate suitable for our customers’ needs
• Break down problems using insight and data analysis to make decisions that will benefit my customers and the wider BT Group business
• Identify and implement industry best practise for workplace across the BT’s UK property portfolio
• Identify and execute opportunities to deliver financial savings across the property portfolio within area of responsibility
The experience you'll have
• Experience of working in a collaborative manner across multiple teams, with diverse skills and experience is essential.
• Experience of managing the delivery of a workplace strategy is essential across a large property portfolio.
• Experience in influencing and relationship managing senior stakeholders is essential.
• Experience in large-scale, multi-phased workplace change projects.
• Ability to manage and oversee multiple concurrent projects and work both in a team and independently to deadlines is essential.
The skills you'll need to succeed
• Stakeholder engagement: able to engage effectively with stakeholders to fully understand and meet their needs, from CEO level all the way through the organisation.
• Technical insight: industry wide thought leadership on workplace design principles and trends.
• People management: ability to manage and lead a project team, driving great performance and engagement.
• Complex programme management: able to plan, deliver and monitor complex people change programmes delivered through a number of discrete projects, recognising and managing interdependencies to ensure delivery on time, on budget and to the standards required.
• Technical expertise: A good understanding of how technology can be used to gather relevant data to inform decision making. Experience in data analysis.
• Multi- tasking: able to manage time effectively to deliver several projects and different project types at any one time
• Good communicator: able to use a variety of communication styles. Able to determine the most effective and appropriate communication across a variety of different circumstances, stakeholders, colleagues, suppliers and customers. Building good relationships is key
