Worship and Youth Outreach (Intergenerational Pastor)
St. Swithin's, Lincoln, England, United Kingdom
Description of Job
This is a unique and pioneering role for a dynamic leader, with a passion for intergenerational worship and ministry and a gifting for growing and releasing individuals in the context of teams to lead.
This role is about releasing the whole body of the church (across generations) to discover and use their gifts to grow and develop in our worshipping life and to effectively reach and disciple young people in that intergenerational/worship for everyone context.
You will work closely and collaboratively with our clergy, our worship for everyone lead, and our ministry leads, as well as leaders and teams from across our congregations.
We have an inter-generational emphasis that is central to our ecclesiology and therefore our model and practice. We believe God has called us to intentionally create space for us to learn from one another across generations as we seek to encounter the love of God, learn to live like Jesus, and go in the power of the Spirit to see lives and communities transformed. This role will enable us to continue to develop our model and practice of being an intergenerational church impacting both our gathered settings on a Sunday as well as our various midweek settings.
We would be willing to consider applications for this role as 2 separate part-time roles - Worship Pastor and Youth Outreach Pastor - but we are excited about the prospect of a full-time role with a particular focus on helping us develop an intergenerational focus.
Closing date for Applications: Mon 25th Nov
Interviews: Monday 2nd Dec & Sun 24/11, 1/12 or 8/12
We would be more than happy to have an informal chat with you if you are interested, would like to know more, or if you have further questions. Please contact jim.prestwood@stswithins.org.uk to arrange.
