Job Description:
Hours: 35 hours per week - shift patterns supporting department operating times with occasional Saturday morning shifts on a rota basis.
This role requires a set start date. Successful candidates would join on Monday 16th June, complete 3 weeks of training with limited holiday or appointment clashes.
Hybrid and flexible working considered after training, depending on performance and business needs.
Interviews will be held on 6th and 8th May 2025.
Salary: £23,000 Per Annum

Within our Homes Business, departments include Operations, Products and Proposition, Mortgage Lending, Homes Finance Advice, Business Development, and Homes – Customer Contact. After training, you'll join one of our Customer Contact Teams with experienced leaders and new starters.
You’ll work with teams across Homes Finance and beyond, including Credit Management, Direct Lending, Underwriting, Customer Communications, Customer Resolution, Mortgage Servicing, and Quality Assurance.

Training and Onboarding
3 weeks of initial training with an expert trainer, followed by a 4-week transition with a Support Specialist. You’ll learn about Skipton, our mortgage products, services, and processes through online learning, call listening, shadowing, and meetings with key teams.
What Will You Be Doing?
As a Customer Service Adviser in our Homes business, you’ll handle inbound calls, work with departments to meet customer needs, service mortgage payments, confirm information, and provide excellent customer service.
Main responsibilities include:
* Learning and relaying mortgage information and processes
* Answering customer queries and processing transactions
* Discussing financial products with customers
* Identifying additional products/services like financial planning and Home Insurance
* Supporting customers with complaints and vulnerabilities
* Delivering high customer service standards
Your conversations will be measured on service levels, customer experience, outcomes, and opportunities for financial products.

We seek adaptable, curious, and empathetic individuals with strong communication skills, relationship-building abilities, and a drive to deliver positive outcomes and develop new skills. You must follow processes aligned with regulations and customer experience standards.
