Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer - Europlan Group
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at the Europlan Group. As an E&I Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all electrical and instrumentation aspects of our subsea cable factory project.
This is a full-time onsite contract position reporting to the Electrical Package Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, experience working on industrial or construction projects, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate E&I design works and implementation to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
* Conduct quality and compliance checks on electrical and instrumentation installations to guarantee adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Troubleshoot and resolve electrical or instrumentation issues, coordinating with other engineering teams and contractors to minimize delays.
* Maintain thorough documentation of calibration records, technical reports, system modifications, and compliance certifications.
* Ensure safe working practices for all E&I activities, conduct regular safety checks, and educate on-site teams on electrical and instrumentation safety protocols.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 5-10 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering within industrial or construction environments.
* Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or specialized instrumentation and calibration certifications.
* Proficiency in E&I design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, PLC programming tools), knowledge of calibration, electrical codes, process automation, and instrumentation controls.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
What We Offer
Competitive salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience.
