We are seeking a talented and dedicated Science Teacher to join a secondary school, starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will have experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 levels. You will be responsible for preparing and delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students to learn and develop their knowledge of Science.
Your new role
1. Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons that are tailored to the needs of individual students
2. Preparing and marking homework, coursework, and exams
3. Monitoring and tracking student progress and providing feedback to students and parents
4. Creating a positive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation
5. Collaborating with other teachers and staff to create cross-curricular learning opportunities
6. Participating in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
7. Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behaviour
What you'll need to succeed
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 levels
3. A passion for teaching and commitment to student learning and development
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Strong organisational and time-management skills
6. Knowledge of the current Science curriculum and assessment requirements
7. Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
