About the position: Head of Public Affairs, EMEA, will lead the development and execution of Treasury Wine Estates' (TWE) Public Affairs programme across the region. The role will focus on strengthening awareness among key stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, and industry leaders, to advance TWE's reputation as a socially responsible organisation and a leader within the FMCG sector. The position will drive advocacy efforts on public health, advertising, and environmental regulation policies while fostering strong relationships with regional stakeholders. Strategic Planning and Advocacy - Drive and implement an EMEA-specific Public Affairs strategy aligned with TWE's global priorities and regional business objectives. - Advocate for TWE's position on public health, advertising, and environmental regulations with policymakers and key stakeholders. - Monitor and respond to regulatory and legislative developments in the EMEA region to mitigate risks and identify opportunities. Stakeholder Engagement - Build and maintain relationships with government officials, NGOs, trade associations, and scientific communities to enhance TWE's influence and reputation. - Represent TWE at key industry forums, events, and roundtables to advance strategic goals and foster collaboration. - Work closely with internal teams, including legal, marketing, and sustainability, to align messaging and advocacy efforts. About you: - Demonstrated experience in government relations including established government relationships and networks, and an understanding of government systems and processes across the region, particularly UK and Europe. - Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to scan the internal and external environment to identify emerging policy issues. - Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills. - Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, and scientific experts. - A collaborative, open-minded, and dynamic professional with a proactive approach to driving change. - Strong knowledge of public health &/or environmental regulatory frameworks in the EMEA region.
