Head of Operations – International Manufacturing
Manchester City Centre
£80,000 - £85,000 plus comprehensive benefits package.
The rapid internationalisation of this manufacturing business over recent years has significantly increased complexity across the entire business and highlighted the clear need for dedicated operational resource. This new hire will join the SLT and operate across multiple operational matters that require an investigative outlook. Like any rapidly growing business infrastructure and control can have gaps purely down to lack of resource hence the need for a Head of Operations to add value to this incredible organisation.
Based from Manchester head office, they operate across multiple territories so the role is complex, far reaching and will undoubtedly add incredible experience to the successful Head of Operations who joins them. Initial phase will be supporting the CEO in all functions inclusive of business critical operational initiatives, capacity creation for existing management, the effective coordination of commercial, production and logistics activities and the execution of planned increases in output capacity to allow the business to deliver on its growth strategy.
Ongoing responsibility of the role will include:
* Cooperate with the CEO and the board to ensure effective execution of the overall business operations in line with the agreed growth strategy;
* Implement transparent communication of operational performance
* Manage and clearly communicate stock levels and forecast and actual production output
* Establish an effective S&OP process and coordinate the activities of Commercial, Production and Logistics teams to ensure optimised production allocation and OTIF customer delivery
* Ongoing ownership of CRM and ERP – ensuring timely approvals, and continuous improvement of the systems and related processes
* Develop proper and robust processes across the business incorporating necessary rules, monitoring, documentation, ownership and accountability;
* Assess the optimal strategy for delivering increased production capacity either through enhanced in-house capacity and / or out-sourced third party production and supply. In doing so, international diversification of production and supply chain risk is of critical strategic importance;
* Ensure timely, accurate and relevant reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors, in close collaboration with the Financial Controller

The ideal candidate they believe will be someone with the above professional competencies, however also someone experienced within manufacturing or similar sectors who have worked within international trading.
