Accounts Assistant Level 2 or Level 3 Apprenticeship – Three Spires Trust
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working individual to join the Three Spires Trust team. As an Accounts Assistant Apprentice, you will study AAT - either level 2 or level 3. The purpose of the role is to support the Trust Accountant in the Trust Head Office in Stafford.

Salary: £6.40p/h for Level 2 AAT or £18,000 for Level 3 AAT
Working hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9AM – 4PM, Wednesday 9AM – 1PM (30 hours per week)
Location: Stafford Education & Enterprise Park, Weston Road Stafford, Staffordshire, ST18 0BF
Apprenticeship Details: 17 months expected duration to complete Level 2 Accounts Assistant Qualification; 20 months for Level 3 (All learning is delivered online/remote).
Training Provider: LMP Education (rated 1st best UK training provider)
During your time as an Accounts Assistant Apprentice, your role will be varied and will include inputting purchase invoices onto the Trust accounting software for the designated academies within the Trust. Your day-to-day duties will include:
1. Inputting data onto the Trust finance software
2. Following standard monthly accounting processes
3. Assisting with and inputting purchase invoices onto the Trust finance software for designated academies
4. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including assisting with credit control
5. Assisting the Trust Accountant with month-end and year-end processes
6. Assisting with internal and external audits
7. Assisting with asset management throughout the Trust
8. Working with central team members as required (there may be a requirement to visit academy sites on occasion)
9. Supporting and upholding Trust policies
10. Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons
11. Complying with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection
12. Ensuring equal opportunities for all
13. Contributing to the overall ethos/work/aims of the Trust
14. Supporting the role of other professionals
15. Attending and participating in relevant meetings as required
16. Participating in training and other learning activities as required
Essential Skills:
* Studied an A Level or equivalent standard
* At least 5 GCSE passes grades 5-9 (A*-B) including Maths and English
* Experience of ICT programmes to a good level of competence including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
