About The Team/Department You Will Be Joining
Located at our Police Headquarters, BRIDGEND. South Wales Police Estates department have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a full-time Assistant Estates Officer on a permanent basis, working with a team of dedicated individuals, covering all aspects of Estates & Facilities small projects and defects for the organisation.
About The Role And Your Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Estates Officer will assist in the management of all aspects of the Maintenance/Revenue work and to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the allocated budget. Additionally, the role includes carrying out Emergency maintenance and repairs on the South Wales Police Estates when required.
The successful person will provide 37 hours per week Monday to Friday support. This is a flexible working position that, in time, will allow some degree of working flexibly.
We mainly work either from HQ Bridgend or on occasions from home.
Must hold a current valid full UK driving licence.
The Role Includes
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in related capacity.
* Basic knowledge of Health & Safety.
* Must be prepared to undergo Health & Safety training in relation to role.
* Experience in an Estates & Facilities environment supporting projects and defects.
What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:
We are looking for someone who has at least 5 years experience within an Estates environment supporting projects. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications. Must possess site management and quality control skills. Should be a competent and experienced tradesperson with skills in managing and organising all trades.
You must be able to work well with good team skills and be adaptable to change.
A current valid driving licence is essential.
