Job Description
Serving as a key figure in the surgical department, you will be responsible for performing a diverse array of complex and routine surgeries on small animals. This role is ideal for an individual who excels in the surgical field and is eager to develop their skills further. Working alongside a team of skilled professionals, including veterinarians, nurses, and support staff, you will deliver exceptional care to all patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advanced Surgical Procedures: Conduct a range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries, with opportunities to take on more complex cases as your expertise grows.
* Pre-Surgical Care: Assess and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring the highest standards of care before, during, and after the procedure.
* Client Communication: Guide pet owners through the surgery process, explaining risks, benefits, and aftercare to ensure they feel confident in their pets' care.
* Post-Operative Care: Manage and monitor recovery, providing both medical care and support for pet owners post-surgery.
* Diagnostic Support: Utilize modern diagnostic tools and collaborate with colleagues to formulate treatment plans and surgical strategies.
About You:
* Veterinary Expertise: As a qualified veterinary surgeon, you hold current RCVS registration and possess a solid background in surgery.
* Surgical Expertise: You have a strong interest in surgery, with experience in soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures. Experience in advanced surgery would be beneficial, but we will provide support to help you develop further.
