Due to extensive growth, Fusion Consulting Group are looking to recruit a Senior Tax Advisor to join a leading Professional Services Group in London. This will be based out of our private client division.
The group has several subsidiaries ranging from Tax, Accounting, Legal, Financial Services and Executive Recruitment. Our mission is to disrupt the disjointed Professional Services space.
Job Description
To assist the Fusion Tax Practice which comprises of UK private client service provision to a number of clients around the globe.
We are looking for a Tax Advisor who is ATT qualified and has a view towards completing their CTA.
The role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work with an incredibly broad range of clients including expats and non UK residents. We support High Net Worth individuals, Entrepreneurs and Trusts through the life cycle of their business.
This role is a mix between compliance and advisory.
Responsibilities
1. Preparation and submission of tax returns for a varied portfolio of clients, including reviewing tax returns of juniors.
2. Assisting in preparation of written private client tax advice in report format to clients.
3. Identifying opportunities to win new business and onboard new clients.
4. Participating in client meetings.
5. Assisting the wider tax team with tax return reviews from our outsourcing company.
6. Managing client relationships and expectations, which would involve monitoring of IRIS on a weekly basis to ensure a number of issues and deadlines are being met.
7. Assisting with update of our internal CRMs and client portals of new enquiries.
8. Various ad hoc work as and when it arises.

Person Specification:
1. Must be ATT qualified.
2. Have either started CTA, or looking to start CTA.
3. Previous exposure within a practice environment.
4. Strong technical tax knowledge and practical expertise within the private client tax arena, with demonstrable broad experience of the tax affairs of non-domiciled individuals, entrepreneurs and share schemes for small and medium-sized enterprises.
5. Previous exposure working with Inheritance tax and Capital Gains tax would be beneficial.
6. Aptitude for research and the ability to prepare complex written advice/calculations.
7. Strong communication skills, be it face-to-face, email or in writing, and have an emotional intelligence in dealing with sensitive private client matters e.g. divorce cases, business partner disputes.
8. Some experience in identifying opportunities for business development on tax clients and across other service lines would be advantageous.
9. Good understanding of IRIS.
10. Need to be able to explain tax matters in layman’s terms to non-tax individuals.
