An SEN school in Leeds is looking for an experienced Special Educational Needs Teacher for a permanent role, starting for the new academic year in September 2025.

- SEN allowances available between £2,679 - £5,285 Per Annum
- Full-time position.
Responsibilities:
Previous Teaching/SEN Teaching is essential, with knowledge around SEN education and curriculum, along with knowledge around a varied curriculum for a range of age groups and needs.
You will be working with children across a range of classes who have varying special needs, including Autism, Complex Physical and Medical Needs, along with challenging behaviours. You will be adaptable and will be able to plan, prepare and deliver engaging and creative lessons for pupils. The classes will be made up of small groups of 6 - 8 children, and your timetable will be split around varying groups of pupils.
You will be working in a highly inspired environment teaching the pupils key life skills. This is an area where many pupils eagerly engage and can express their creative side. As the teacher, it is vital to focus the pupils' attention on the task at hand but also allow the pupils to use their imagination as much as possible.
The students are supported by experienced LSAs (Learning Support Assistants) who will work alongside you to ensure that all pupils are developing well. The senior leadership team is also very supportive, providing many teaching resources to assist with creative and visual learning.

This Special Education Needs School supports children from 4 - 19 years old, with varying complex behaviour, physical, medical, and learning needs.
