Project Overview:
Bechtel is seeking to expand its decades long relationship with Reliance by providing Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi:billion:dollar upgrade / expansion of existing petrochemical facilities in India. Reliance plans to augment its existing petrochemical facilities in Dahej, Gujarat, and Nagothane, Maharashtra, to expand its PVC capacity. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel's India offices.

Job Summary:
Responsible for the organization and activities relating to Civil construction engineering, subcontracts, and engineering liaison to the design functional group. Interprets design drawings and specifications. Supervises field verification of materials. Provides technical direction to contractors in construction engineering and design functions relating to civil engineering in an area of the project.
Major Responsibilities:

Support the development of the construction engineering organization for approval by the Site Manager (or appropriate level of Project Management) and preparation of employee requisitions.

Coordinates with engineering on constructability and design issues and monitors the interfacing between the construction automation plan and the project controls program at the jobsite.

Responsible for quantity take:off, control, reporting and forecasting, and ensures the implementation of project environmental control plan(s) as required.

Support as required the design of temporary construction facilities.

Reviews and provides input to project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule, and material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials.

Plans and recommends procedures to be implemented by construction contractors to ensure construction operations are within requirements

Coordinates with the Area Field Engineer/Project Field Engineer for any work related to contract administration and activities affecting the contract administration operation.
Education and Experience Requirements:
A recognized degree in Civil engineering or scientific discipline. Actual work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the technical knowledge described above.
