Job Description
The successful candidate willlead the finance business partnering function across the Trust, creating a true partnership between finance and educational operations. To advise and supportschools leaders, putting pupils at the heart of decision-making.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
General Duties
To provide financial management advice and challenge to schools, assisting the Trust in maintaining a sound financial position, whilst delivering the best possible outcomes for pupils.
To guide and support schools in the annual budgeting process.
Reviewing draft management accounts and providing commentary.
Assisting with financial forecasting.
Completing schools salary reconciliations.
Ensuring that schools are compliant with Trust financial procedures and the requirements of the ESFA.
Developing business cases as required to support new development plans for schools.
Ensure the most effective use of school resources.
Assist Head Teachers with income generating activities and funding bids as opportunities arise.
Supervising finance staff as appropriate.
Providing school level finance reports as required.
Supporting new joiner schools with the transition to LAAT.
Assisting with the implementation of new systems as appropriate.
