THE GOAL
This role will lead the product development activity for our new food concepts. You will develop new products and design production/operation processes (in collaboration with Head of Concept) to create viable and scalable concepts
Travel involved.
Travel as and when required mainly in the UK and some occasional requirement to travel to locations in Europe.
Based: Watford
WHAT THEY DO
Innovation & Product Development
* Responsible for the development of the food offer for the new developed concepts.
* Create & develop new and modify existing recipes/ products in line with briefs and financial targets to innovate top selling food offers that are replicable through our retail outlets.
* Engineer product costing and adapt recipes to balance food quality and commercial targets to brand standards.
* Understands food and product trends influencing consumer behaviours.
* Presenting and executing Innovation Days to internal and external stakeholders
* Monitors and communicates competitor activity and innovation.
* Identify products and ingredients for innovative new product development.
* Regularly update stakeholders on the product development pipeline.
* Works closely with the supply chain team to maintain up to date knowledge of suppliers.
* Accountable for creating materials and training of recipes/products to the marketing, operational teams and Partners.
* Supports the quality team in production and technical trials
WHO THEY ARE
* You will have an understanding and passion for Korean & Asian culture and food.
* Capable of developing products from ingredients to packaging that British customers will love.
* Experience with Production & Operational procedures is desirable.
* Able to create products that are easily franchisable
* Understanding of sales with a focus on customer satisfaction
* Language - fluent in English
* Experience in developing Korean & Asian food.
* NPD and/or Innovation experience in FMCG (minimum 2yrs +)
* Proven track record of delivery of high quality, sustainable and commercial products
* Ability to lead multiple projects and prioritise self accordingly.
* Creative and enthusiastic in food recipe development
* Food handling experience
