This critical role involves overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety in our processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Operational Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular audits, and optimize warehouse layout for effective space utilization. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff while fostering a productive work environment. Manage shift schedules and performance evaluations. Safety and Compliance: Uphold health and safety standards, conduct safety audits, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Technology and Systems: Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and orders, analyse data to improve efficiency, and stay updated with warehousing technology. Customer Service: Ensure timely, accurate order fulfilment and collaborate with other departments to meet company goals. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality audits and implement solutions to maintain high standards. Qualifications & Experience Experience: 3 years of warehouse operations experience with proven leadership in inventory management and end-of-year stock takes. Skills: Proficient in MS Office, inventory software, and modern warehousing practices. Certifications: Current forklift license (desirable but not essential). Education: GCSE-level or equivalent in English and Maths. Strong organizational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
