Role Purpose This role sits within the Retail Occupier Agency team based in London. The team represents some of the biggest and most established retailers in the world, advising them on their expansion strategies, existing portfolios and other real estate matters. They also specialise in advising new and developing global and UK-based brands on navigating the physical real estate environment, from concept through to the first physical sale. The role they wish to recruit for is primarily assisting on their retained client accounts. The role will include all leasing activities, sale and purchase advice and general portfolio advice and management. The candidate is required to have a high level of sociability and communication to be effective in this role. It is a fast-paced and high volume environment, requiring an individual to excel both independently and within a team. There will be ample opportunities to work across multiple new projects alongside our retained client mandates. This will involve working with multiple different business lines within CBRE, both in the UK and globally. This is a unique and rare opportunity to become part of a close-knit team working on some of the most exciting projects in retail in the UK today. Key Responsibilities - Conducting searches and acquisitions for our retained and new occupier clients looking to expand across London and the UK - Conducting inspections across the UK and formulating marketing and acquisition reports - Measuring properties and plans - Coordinating and implementing marketing campaigns on behalf of our landlord and retailer clients on surplus or vacant retail property - Negotiate lettings and agreeing Heads of Terms, monitoring transactions through to legal completion - Reporting to clients in written form and attending meetings as required - Assisting the wider team and department on various instructions for a range of clients Person Specification/Requirements - MRICS qualified - Commercial property experience in an agency environment essential - Possess genuine interest in the retail and leisure industry - Good IT skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Outlook) - Knowledge of Goad/Promap desirable - Good interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels of seniority - Pro-active and enjoys working autonomously and as part of a wider team - Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects at once - Ability to co-ordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met - Ability to quickly understand the market and interact with key players - Maintains a positive attitude towards routine tasks - Self-motivated and tenacious - Accurate and exceptional attention to detail - Flexible approach to work and ability to work under pressure - Understands and appreciates the importance of using discretion - A social individual with good communication skills, both verbally and in writing - Qualified driver preferred Working at CBRE When you join CBRE you will have the support and resources of a global firm where an entrepreneurial mind-set is encouraged.
