Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistants to join us on an ad-hoc basis, supporting schools across Devon. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to work flexibly while making a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.
The role:
* Provide essential classroom support for students with a range of additional needs (e.g ASD, ADHD, PLMD, visual impairments).
* Create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages learning and personal development
* Collaborate with teachers, other LSA’s and specialists to meet the educational and emotional needs of students
* Support and monitor student progress in line with Individual Learning Plans (ILP’s)
* Assist in the delivery of engaging and personalised lessons in the absence of the regular teacher
About you:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school or other relevant settings)
* A good understanding of strategies to support learners with additional needs
* A positive attitude and strong commitment to helping students achieve their potential
* Flexibility to work in different schools on a short-term, ad-hoc basis
* A valid driving licence and access to your own transport is highly beneficial
