Our manufacturing client are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to oversee and enhance their procurement processes including the successful initiation, planning, monitoring and controlling of the purchasing of materials for the factory. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supply chain management and demonstrate expertise in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships. Duties: Develop & implement vetting process for supply chain partners Establish global procurements Procure materials to meet contractual obligations Preparation of valuations and cost value reconciliation sheets Identification, measurement and agreement of variations Identification of added value opportunities within measurement and contract conditions Provide accounts department with monthly cost/valuation information for costing purposes and quarterly for management accounts within the specified time scales. Production of management reports as directed and required. Identify cost saving measures to the business. Identify risk analysis Developing logistics & planning Person Specification: Proven experience in a procurement or supply chain management role is essential. Strong knowledge of procurement systems, particularly SAP and Oracle EBS, is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
