The jobholder will ensure that all patients are treated with compassion, dignity and respect placing value on the diversity of the local community and beyond. He/she will be a highly motivated individual who can work as part of a team but also practice autonomously managing a complex caseload of patients. You will work closely with Consultant Neurologists in a specialist MS clinic setting but also be responsible for running Nurse led clinics, arranging home visits as well as community clinics. You will also be expected to provide in-reach to the acute wards in an advisory capacity. You will be a source of expert knowledge related to MS for all health and social care professionals. To have local open and transparent communication channels that support the team to do the right thing for people we care for, to be bold when they have good ideas and to speak up when things go wrong to ensure learning and quality improvement. As a key member of a multi professional team, ensure appropriate referral and discussion with other members of the team to optimise patient care. Ensure patients are assessed, have care plans that are implemented and evaluated in accordance with the Trusts and NMC requirements. Manage budgets and resources efficiently and effectively.
