The Role The post holder will be responsible for the core collection and loading of assets within assigned catchment area, driving up to and including HGV, while also being prepared to travel outside this area as determined by business needs. Additionally, the post holder will be accountable for the vehicle and its passengers, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, statutory regulations, and Health and Safety requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver with industry experience to work for a growing business. You will need to: • Carry out all driving duties in accordance with the Vehicle Drivers Rules as detailed in the Employee Handbook. • Reconcile equipment lists and carefully pack items into containers such a roll cages and then safely load equipment onto the collection vehicles. • Use device and software to record items collected and other paperwork as required. • To deal with all suppliers and customers in a courteous and professional manner – face to face, via email or by telephone. • Comply with the systematic storage /distribution and receipt of all deliveries within vans and lorries ensuring the most efficient layout for the loading and unloading of company vehicles. • Maintain and verify accurate daily manual and computerised records (If applicable) of all delivery dockets and goods inwards and outwards and ensure all discrepancies are reported to the logistics Manager. • Completing all necessary paperwork in the correct format and on the correct forms. • Provide a high level of Customer care at all times and provide customers with relevant information as required. • Process all electronic and ICT equipment using our Asset Recording System. • Sort computer/electrical equipment for recycling or reuse. • Test and process computer/electrical equipment as directed by the Operations Manager and Department Leads/ Supervisors. • Comply with the systematic storage /distribution and receipt of all deliveries within stores and in vans ensuring the most efficient layout for picking orders and loading of company vehicles. The above is not exhaustive Essential Criteria 1. Must hold a current Class 2 HGV licence. 2. A valid CPC/taco card is also required. 3. Reliable attendance & time keeping. 4. Flexibility in regard to travel to service the Vyta Group. Desirable Criteria 1. NVQ in warehousing. 2. Previous warehouse experience. 3. Minimum of 5 GCSE passes at grade ‘C’ or above or equivalent (or higher) including English language & Math related subject. 4. Manual handling awareness and experience.
