We are seeking to appoint a Vision Support Specialist (Specialist Teaching Assistant) to meet the individual needs of children and young people with severe vision impairment (0-25 yrs) in the nursery, school, or college setting, as required to ensure inclusion, access to learning, and independence.
Applicants will be required to demonstrate a commitment towards gaining a Grade 2 Braille qualification within 3 years of taking up the post and achieving RNIB 'Partners in Learning' qualification within 2 years.
The successful candidate will join a small, highly committed team of specialist staff. Experience supporting children in a school or other educational setting is essential.
