We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic dietitian with skills and experience in long term condition especially diabetes, renal and obesity to join our innovative dietetic community team at Newham University Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust.
Main duties of the job
You will need to possess excellent communication and organisational skills as there is a requirement to work with MDT in the community setting as well as primary care network setting that provides a service to a diverse population. You will work alongside other community dietitians and also be working closely with the Acute Dietetics Team based at Newham Hospital to provide continuity of care.
We are committed to work-based education and training to improve clinical skills. We actively encourage leadership development, CPD, and audit in our service.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Current and up to date state registration through a regulatory body (HCPC; NMC or GMC) or RCT
* To hold a BSc Hons degree or DCR in Diagnostic Radiography
* MSc in Medical Ultrasound
* DQASS Nuchal Translucency certification
Knowledge / Experience
* An up to date knowledge of current and emerging ultrasound techniques and relevant topics / professional issues
* Able to demonstrate the ability to carry out and report on a full range of ultrasound examinations in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, General Abdominal and Small Parts
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Experience of post graduate teaching
* Attendance of a clinical supervisor course
Skills
* High level inter-personal and communications skills
* Able to work collaboratively with other disciplines
* Ability to deal with conflict and stressful situations
* Ability to deal with patients in an empathic and considerate fashion
* Experience of breaking bad news to patients
