Project Details
Associate Director Sustainable Procurement responsible for leading teams and programmes helping clients to meet their social and environmental targets. This includes orientating clients’ procurement operations, across multiple commissions, towards net zero and better environmental and social outcomes.
The successful candidate will be making a sustainable impact on large-scale flagship projects, working with and managing an outstanding team of specialist procurement and sustainability consultants.

Responsibilities and Duties
1. To provide sustainable procurement management and insights across multiple projects and commissions, helping clients progress towards better environmental, social & economic outcomes
2. To lead project teams and play an important role in our large global transformation programmes
3. To provide management, challenge and guidance to colleagues as they work on client projects and commissions
4. To identify, design, deliver and continually improve clients’ environmental performance to meet targets across key sustainability themes
5. Lead the development of the sustainable procurement services and propositions
6. To play a leading role in the business generation of sustainable procurement opportunities for the employer
7. To actively input and manage the delivery of both team and wider business targets
Desired Skills and Experience
8. Sustainable Procurement strategy development
9. Implementation of Sustainable Procurement vision and objectives
10. Sustainable Procurement insights and research
11. Previous procurement consulting experience gained from either client, contractor or professional services organisation
12. Experience of embedding ISO 20400 (Sustainable Procurement) into procurement operations, desired but not essential
13. Strong project team management ethos and ability to lead delivery and transformation programmes
14. Experience of leading the development of client facing eminence and propositions
15. Strong understanding of wider ESG legislative and regulatory environments is desirable
16. Experience of successful supplier engagement (as part of embedding sustainability)
17. Confident, independent and able to work autonomously without need for supervision
18. Be able to provide mentorship and guidance to team members
19. Be able to manage work/business development/career development activities
20. Have an adaptable approach to work
21. Excellent IT skills
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
22. A degree related to one of the following; Procurement, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Business Management or similar disciplines
23. Has achieved, is working towards or is willing to work towards at least Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply
