This is an exciting role, working in a fast-paced working environment, within a well-established, multi-disciplinary team. The crisis and home treatment teams offer a high-quality assessment and home treatment service as an alternative to hospital admission, to individuals experiencing acute mental health crisis.
As a service, we are looking for individuals who are genuinely warm and engaging and focused on client/customer satisfaction.
Secondment opportunities/fixed team contracts for up to 12 months or permanent contracts are available.
We also offer full-time and part-time working.

Main duties of the job
* To provide first line assessments of people experiencing acute mental health difficulties and act as gatekeepers to acute admissions.
* To be able to rapidly assess people with mental health problems who are vulnerable to hospital admission.
* To provide specialist crisis assessments focusing on "hospital at home".
* To coordinate the Crisis and Home Treatment Team on a shift-by-shift basis, acting as Duty Worker to triage referrals, plan the shift's activities, and team accordingly.
* To participate in team MDMs.

Experience
* Previous and relevant post-registration experience.
Qualifications
* Qualified Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker.
* Current registration with the relevant professional body, e.g., NMC, HCPC, Social Work England.
Other
* Ability to meet the travel requirements of the post.
