Cooper Recruitment are excited to be working with a National, UK based supplier of packaging and processing equipment, on their recruitment of a Field Service Engineer. Our client supplies a wide range of budgets from single machines through to full process and packaging lines. The role has materialised due to organic growth and an ever-growing order book.
About the Role:
As an integral part of the business, the role will involve a varied workload of multiple types of packaging machinery. With the use of a company vehicle, you will attend a range of client sites to carry out various tasks on their equipment and machines, whilst building and maintaining relationships with a host of clients.
Main Responsibilities:
1. To have a methodical approach to organising your own diary to carry out planned visits to the customer base, often attending breakdowns.
2. To attend installations of the machinery, which could be single machines or full production lines.
3. Attend FAT and SAT with customers at the suppliers factory or Hereford site.
4. Carry out commissioning duties on machines.
5. Be active with problem-solving techniques, whether that be on-site, at HQ or over the telephone.
6. To be able to offer guidance and advice to more junior members of the team where needed.
7. Attend exhibition duties as and when necessary.
8. Carry out training to client Engineers and Operatives.
Requirements:
1. BTEC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
2. HNC/HND or equivalent within Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
3. Experience of working within a Field Service Engineer role previously.
