About Our Client
My client is currently recruiting for a new Accounts Receivable Assistant role in Redhill.
Job Description
3. Payment Processing: Accurately process and record customer payments, including checks, bank transfers, and credit card transactions.
4. Invoicing: Generate and issue invoices to customers in a timely manner, ensuring all necessary details are correct.
5. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts regularly, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
6. Debt Collection: Monitor accounts receivable ageing reports, follow up on overdue payments, and escalate collection issues as necessary.
7. Customer Communication: Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries, payment reminders, and account statements in a professional and courteous manner.
8. Credit Control: Assist in assessing customer creditworthiness and setting credit limits in accordance with company policies.
9. Reporting: Prepare accounts receivable reports, including ageing analysis and payment trend reports, for management review.
10. Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions in the accounting system.
11. Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed, including filing, data entry, and handling financial queries.
The Successful Applicant
12. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero).
14. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
15. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
16. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a team-oriented mindset.
17. Basic understanding of accounting principles and credit control practices.
18. Potentially working towards an Accountancy qualification.
19. May have previous experience working as an Accounts Receivable Assistant
