Cook - Heronsbridge School - Catering Services
Salary: £14,429 - £14,904 per annum
Working Hours: 22.5 Hours per week, potentially between 9.00am and 2.00pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time).
Applications are invited for the above position as Cook to manage and coordinate day-to-day activities within a new kitchen, ensuring a quality service is provided to all customers.
You will be responsible for:
1. Menu planning
2. Portion control
3. Preparation and cooking
4. Administration duties
5. Supervision of staff
Previous experience in food preparation and cooking for large numbers, supervision, allocation of duties, and training would be an advantage, along with knowledge of Health & Safety, security, administrative duties, specialist and cultural diet requirements, and COSHH regulations.
An Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate is essential for this post (training will be provided). NVQ 2 or equivalent is desirable.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people, or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
A criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
