Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is offering a great opportunity for Parking Pernit and Appeals Officer to join Parking Team on a full time and permanent basis. As a Parking Pernit and Appeals Officer, you will be responsible for the administration and processing of the Councils parking permits. This will include all aspects of the system, the processes for issuing permits and recommending efficiencies were identified to senior management. You will deal with the day-to-day administration, processing and stage progressions of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) to ensure a high recovery rate and identify and report to senior management of errors in the issuing of notices. You will work in collaboration with the council’s parking enforcement provider and play a key role in the smooth operation of the council’s parking contracts. To be successful in this role, at least two years administration experience working within parking & enforcement is essential. It is essential that you have experience is using a number of IT systems symology, Mysouthend, Traffweb, Si-dem, Heycentric ,Mobon, Civica, RingGo and Park flow, Sagoss Service Desk, including Traffic Penalty Tribunal & Enforcement Agents Portals. You need to have working knowledge of relevant parking, data protection and health & safety legislations. Comprehensive, up to date knowledge of parking, environmental crime and street work related legislation and best practice is also essential. You also need to have a good understanding of TRO’s so as to validate that PCN’s have been issued compliantly.
