Job Description
Ever thought of joining us at Career Connect?
Job Vacancy: Apprentice (Manchester)
Fixed term for 2 years
We are looking to recruit an apprentice to join our friendly community team in Manchester. You will become part of a team that provides careers support to 16–18-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training, helping them to identify their career ambitions and move into fulfilling work and training.
The role will be based at our office at The Millennium Powerhouse in Moss Side though you will also work flexibly in venues in the community.
Career Connect is a charity making a huge difference to the lives of young people, adults and families by providing support services that help them turn career ambitions into reality. We believe in a society where every individual realises their full potential and we aim to drive social mobility by enabling more people to access and succeed in education, training and employment.
We are looking for a creative, friendly, professional, and enthusiastic individual who can promote our service through the production of multimedia promotional and marketing items such as bulletins, flyers, videos and pictures.
You will also produce jobs and training bulletins that can be shared with our client group and partners highlighting the range of fantastic opportunities available for the young people of Manchester.
You will support our team in the work that we do across the city and work closely with colleagues in partner organisations to help improve outcomes for young people. This will involve direct contact with young people, their parents/carers, and a range of professionals from support services, training providers and employers across the city, so excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to travel independently.
Completion of a Level 3 Business Administration qualification will be expected, and you will be supported to achieve this as part of your role and given time to complete assignments.
We offer a friendly, supportive work environment among colleagues who care about the work we do and the communities that we support.
You’ll work with fantastic people in a growing charity that is committed to driving social mobility by enabling more people to access and succeed in education, training and employment.
