Thrive Personnel are currently recruiting an experienced Wood Machinist to join our client on their late shift on a temp to perm basis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate CNC wood machining equipment to cut, shape, and finish wood products according to specifications.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to determine machining requirements.
3. Set up and calibrate CNC machines, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
4. Monitor the machining process and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
5. Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
6. Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals are met efficiently and safely.
7. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in CNC machining is a plus.
2. Proven experience as a CNC machinist, preferably in woodworking.
3. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
4. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
