Responsible to: Head of Exams
We are seeking to appoint a pool of exam invigilators to be engaged on a casual contract with the School. The Exam Invigilators will be required to assist the Exams Department by supervising students and ensuring exam regulations are being met at all times, ensuring exams are conducted in an appropriate manner within a correct time frame.
Main duties and responsibilities
● Invigilation of exams, in the main hall or other venues (e.g. Computer Rooms).
● Assisting candidates and advising on the correct protocol both prior to and during the exam.
● Follow exam procedure as stipulated by the Exams Officer.
● Collect data regarding use of access arrangements on appropriate forms.
● Administering exams in Computer Rooms or small venues.
● Helping to set up the exam room at the start of exams.
● Collecting papers and making them secure at the end of the exam.
● Other tasks as agreed from time to time with the Exams Officer or Assistant Exams Officer.
● Be available for training both initially and on an annual basis.
All staff, volunteers and contractors have a responsibility and duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils. Staff must be aware of the systems within the School which support safeguarding and must act in accordance with the School’s Safeguarding & Child Protection policy and Code of Conduct. Staff will receive appropriate child protection training which is regularly updated.
