Job Description: We’re working on a great opportunity for two experienced Electrical Engineers to step into a shift role within a mission-critical data centre based in Billingham. This position comes with strong long-term career prospects, full training towards HVAP and a work-life-friendly shift pattern. You’ll be part of a close-knit, skilled engineering team, handling a mix of planned and reactive maintenance across the site. While data centre or critical environment experience is a plus, it’s not essential. We’re really looking for a solid electrical background and someone with a proactive, can-do approach. Key Responsibilities: Perform PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive works on all electrical systems Fault-finding, isolations, and general maintenance on building services equipment Ensure high standards of site compliance and safety procedures Assist with site documentation and logbooks Support broader site maintenance tasks as required Requirements: Electrically qualified (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) IEE BS7671 Wiring Regulations 18th Edition Previous experience in building services or facilities maintenance Data centre or critical power experience is a bonus but not required Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work well within a shift team Willingness to become HVAP within 12 months (full training provided) What’s on Offer: £40,000 annual salary 12-hour continental shifts – 4 on / 4 off (days and nights) 25 days holiday 8 bank holidays Full support and training towards HVAP status No call-out requirement Excellent long-term career progression opportunities
