The Vacancy
Newcastle College is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Work Experience Coordinator to support students in gaining valuable real-world experience and developing the skills needed for future success.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Collaborating with the teaching team to prepare students for work placements by creating engaging and effective learning environments. This includes contributing to curriculum delivery via preparation for work activities, as well as supporting extra-curricular programmes.
2. Coordinating the planning, organisation, and administration of work experience opportunities, including liaising with external stakeholders and ensuring high-quality placements for students.
3. Maintaining accurate records of placements, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
4. Training students and staff to maximise the benefits of work experience and to meet the specific demands of various placement opportunities.
