Join Our Team as a Vetting Administrator in Barrow-in-Furness Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about ensuring the highest standards of security and compliance? We are looking for a dedicated Vetting Administrator to join our dynamic team in Barrow-in-Furness. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our vetting process, ensuring that all personnel meet the necessary security requirements. As the guardian of our Personnel Security policies, you'll manage risk assessments, NSV implementation, and Aftercare with finesse. The role -Ensuring compliance with IPSA requirements, UK Government standards, and relevant legislation. -From interpreting security controls to delivering overseas briefs, you'll be the linchpin in our security framework. -Day to day management and delivery of Personnel Security policies, procedures, risk assessments and associated security processes. -Responsible for implementation of National Security Vetting (NSV), through systematic liaison with UK Security Vetting (UKSV). -Managing Aftercare within the company and any subordinate organisations that the company provides sponsorship for, in accordance with Industry Personnel Security Assurance (IPSA) requirements. -Ensure that all Aftercare activities are managed and undertaken promptly and effectively, liaising with HR and welfare organisations within the company as necessary. -Ensure that the company’s Personnel Security business processes are compliant with relevant legislation, and that the company operates according to the principles embedded in relevant UK Government standards. -Interpret, implement and monitor security controls for the appropriate maintenance of Personnel Security for security cleared employees either in the employment of the company or subcontractor. Develop and maintain a Personnel Security Risk Register where risks are identified, documented, tracked, mitigated and monitored. -Overall responsibility for pre-vetting checks (BPSS) and subsequent NSV processes. Deliver overseas security briefs, as appropriate, to security cleared staff travelling overseas. Apply now Requirements for this role Essential -Must have ability to receive National Security Clearance at SC Level -Right to work in the UK with a 5 year checkable history (enhanced screening required) -Must be a British national and have lived in the UK for the past 5 years (this is due to the nature of the site and requirement for additional screening) -A basic DBS is required for the role -Good communication and database user skills, conversant with the use of Excel, Word and Microsoft 365. -General understanding of Data Protection and GDPR principles -Able to resolve conflicting priorities and escalations using own initiative. -Knowledge in the use of UKSV system (NSVS) relevant to staff, contractors and sub-contractors. -Conversant with the BPSS process and capable of implementing and managing the process for numerous contractors and sub-contractors. Desirable -Experience with the maintenance of vetting records and management of associated Personnel Security Risk Registers. -Conversant with IPSA Accreditation and requirements of Aftercare and Aftercare reporting protocols.
