The home is registered to provide care to 81 residents with diverse needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We are seeking a kind, caring, and motivated Team Leader to join our team. You will support the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager in providing leadership and managing the home effectively on a 24-hour basis within available resources. The position is full-time with an excellent hourly rate of £13.50. Shift times are 07:45-20:00, with alternate weekends off. Candidates must have a care certificate or NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care, with experience in medication management and administration.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Promote the highest standard of person-centred clinical nursing care to residents.
2. Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the care team to ensure quality care during shifts.
3. Act as a role model and demonstrate person-centred care delivery.
4. Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults under your care or contact.
5. Manage the delivery of personalised care plans for residents.
6. Support professional standards within the home, assisting the Deputy and Home Manager.
7. Provide supervision, coaching, and assessment to Care Assistants.
8. Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care through written care plans.
9. Maintain accurate records as required by the company and regulatory bodies.
10. Manage daily rotas and delegate workloads to ensure sufficient staffing.
11. Complete new admission files within the first week, with contributions from the named nurse, senior carer, and key worker.
12. Build relationships with external professionals.
13. Assist the home manager in conducting regular quality audits of care plans.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Medication management and administration experience.
* Experience working with older people.
* Care certificate or NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or higher is essential.
* NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent, or achievement within the first 12 months of employment.
* Ability to contribute to assessment, planning, and evaluation of care needs.
* Knowledge of the 6 principles of care and their application in practice.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Self-motivation and confidence.
