About the role:
Our team is a leading corporate tax and international tax practice working with the largest multinational companies in the UK. We operate nationally with parts of the team based in more than 10 of our offices including London, the South East (e.g. Reading), the Midlands (e.g. Birmingham), the North West (e.g. Manchester) and Scotland (e.g. Glasgow).
We are seeking a Manager who excels in technical challenges and enjoys building client relationships and developing teams. Candidates should have a strong track record in managing complex international and corporate tax projects within multidisciplinary teams. You can be based in any of our offices providing flexibility to apply whatever your location in the UK.
The role is varied and challenging, offering significant career development opportunities. As a Manager, you will work with and learn from Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners, including renowned practitioners. A coach will oversee your performance, well-being, and development and you will have peers based with you whichever office you work from.
What your days will look like:
1. Advising large corporate clients on UK and international tax matters.
2. Sustaining long-term client relationships and managing and building new business through referrals, networking, and identifying client opportunities.
3. Working collaboratively in managing our clients compliance obligations, including corporate tax return submissions and tax accounting and reporting requirements.
4. Leading and developing teams and colleagues.
5. Collaboratively and creatively solving complex issues for our clients.
This role is for you if:
1. You possess a tax professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ATT, CTA, CA, ACCA or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
2. You have previous advisory experience with UK and international large corporate tax clients.
3. You hold strong UK corporate tax knowledge including the ability to review UK tax computations and tax accounting and group reporting calculations and disclosures for accuracy, completeness, and to identify broader opportunities and risks for the client.
4. Your experience includes sound accounting knowledge and the ability to interpret statutory accounts.
5. You have leadership experience with senior stakeholders both internally and externally, including building and maintaining relationships within large teams.
6. You have business development experience through referrals, networking, and identifying client opportunities.
7. You can demonstrate a strong understanding of broader UK and global business issues, and confidence in discussing these with clients.
