We are looking to recruit our Commercial Director who will be responsible for leading the commercial strategy & activities, whilst motivating a high performing sales team to drive profitable growth according to the company’s short and long term goals. Building strong relationships with key retail partners will be key to deliver this ambition.
They will be a member of the UK Management Team helping to steer the overall business direction and drive forward company-wide projects.
Purpose of the job:
1. Lead, develop and implement sales strategies to drive brand development and growth in the UK across all categories and channels of trade
2. Lead, review and advise on policies – revenue growth management: pricing, product mix, brand portfolio
3. Responsible for leading monthly S&OP process to achieve sales, forecast accuracy and customer service levels at Business Unit targets
4. Close alignment with the Marketing Director to create a united topline team whilst also building a strong partnership with Central Sourcing, Finance and all teams in the UK
5. Lead and develop a high performing commercial team through coaching & training development plans
6. Lead and drive internal communications between commercial, marketing, category and other functions to support growth agenda
7. Develop and use senior-level trade contacts to build partnerships for profitable sales growth including winning share of shelf & distribution
You are a strong commercial operator with the hunger to be hands on but have the ability to take a step back to ensure the company meets its ambitions of double digit growth with min 6+ years’ senior-level leadership, proven large FMCG and small company experience and in-depth knowledge of the marketplace with a strong retailer network?
