Our studio is situated in a river-front building in the heart of the Historic Dockyard in Chatham, Kent, UK. We are growing fast, developing our games using cutting-edge technology and delivering these on multiple platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series S/X.
We are looking for a specialised QA Tester for working on our German railway content, reporting to the QA Team Lead. You will test our games, look for bugs, provide accurate QA findings and quality-of-life improvements to our internal development teams, and update our database to maintain an accurate record.
Responsibilities
* Testing software to the defined standard across all current Dovetail gaming platforms following methodical quality assurance processes and test scripts.
* Testing simulation accuracy from a physics, operational, and artistic point of view.
* Providing quality feedback with a local perspective of what the end-product should look like for the most realistic player experience.
* Documenting test results using standard industry software providing professional, clear, accurate, and complete bug reports.
* Providing feedback to avoid repeated mistakes, contributing to the refinement and improvement of testing plans and test cases.
* Working with development teams to rectify errors, providing game-play and game-balance feedback.
* Working with other team members to coordinate test coverage and avoid duplicated effort, assisting in the training of new team members when required.
What We Look For In You
* Railway enthusiast or professional with first-hand experience of German railways operations, as well as relevant safety systems and signalling.
* Keen gamer with the ability to familiarise yourself with game-play elements rapidly.
* Strong organisational and time-keeping skills.
* Good problem-solving/analytical skills, strong attention to detail.
* Knowledge or prior experience of bug reporting software/systems is beneficial.
