Learning Support Assistants required for contract positions at Secondary Schools across Bedfordshire!
Teaching Personnel are the UK's leading education staffing supplier and we are currently sourcing Learning Support Assistants for a number of support staff opportunities in mainstream Secondary Schools.
We are mostly seeking Learning Support Assistants with a passion for supporting young adults' learning and development in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. There are a variety of contracts available, lasting anywhere between 1 - 3 months, with the opportunity to go permanent for some schools.
Day-to-day tasks
As a Learning Support Assistant, you could:
* Help teachers prepare lesson materials
* Set up and tidy classrooms for lessons
* Work with students on a 1:1 or small group basis, supporting their learning
* Watch, record and report the progress students make
* Look after children who are upset or unwell
* Lead classes with help from the teacher
Would you be the right fit?
* Previous experience in a school is advantageous
* Friendly, confident and calm attitude
* Previous experience working with children or young adults
* Adaptable to working with children with vulnerable backgrounds
* An individual with good knowledge of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education
* Be passionate about helping students to succeed academically, emotionally, socially
* Have a calming presence and be able to engage well with the pupils (Year 1 to Year 11)
* You will be dedicated to ensuring that all children achieve their very best
* Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
