The opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Site Planner responsible for developing, operating, and monitoring contract programmes for the work scope, ensuring control and execution within budget and duration.
Outside of IR35, subject to a full IR35 SDS Determination.
£65-£75 per hour depending on experience.
1-year contract.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
* Produce all necessary programmes at appropriate times to reflect overall contract requirements.
* Monitor and update all contract programmes through relevant discussions with all relevant parties.
* Predict and communicate critical path deviations to enable management to take corrective actions.
* Utilize approved computer software packages to meet responsibilities 1–3.
* Incorporate emergent works effectively into existing programmes.
* Report progress against the programme regularly and record delays with reasoning.
* Develop and maintain programme reports for clients and management.
* Identify potential problem areas regarding critical paths and advise remedial actions.
* Allocate estimated costs to activities on the programme and assist in baselining.
* Develop and communicate resource requirements to meet project timescales.
* Analyse Earned Value Performance on the project.
You will have the following qualifications and experience
* Sufficient experience as an assistant/trainee Planning Engineer.
* Experience in Petrochemical, Power, & Process Industry Sectors.
* Ability to produce feasible programmes from scope of work and liaise effectively with relevant parties.
* Ability to anticipate and highlight critical programme areas for management action.
* Fluency in Primavera P6 and Excel for accurate and prompt reporting.
* Awareness of technical implications and interfaces for effective planning.
* Understanding of planning impacts on safety, quality, and cost.
Qualifications
* QCF Diploma Level 3/5 in Planning.
* Craft training supported by relevant CPD training.
* WIMS Requirements.
* Competency-Based Interview.
* Mandatory: CCNSG.
