About The Company
We are looking to appoint an experienced Maths teacher to teach as part of our online education platform. This is a Remote Position, to join our virtual school. Opportunity's to progress into part time and potential full time also available.
Chiron OEP is an exciting new Online Education Provision, aiming to provide high quality education programmes delivered via the virtual environment. The school caters for students who are struggling to access mainstream schooling due to complex needs. All students will be able to follow a differentiated National Curriculum, with the aim of building their confidence to the point of either re-integration or success in appropriate L2 qualifications.

The school will be launched in September 2024 and is growing its capacity. Teachers will work with students in groups of 2 to 6 students, will benefit from homeworking, bespoke CPD and ongoing support from expert staff across the Salutem network. Teachers will be supported to deliver a planned project-based curriculum designed to re-engage students with their education, build their confidence and work towards their creative goals.
About The Role
Job description:
Create and deliver tasks in small group settings that will support progress towards the goals of the young people you are working with.
Work with line managers to adapt a planned curriculum that will engage our young people.
Manage the administration of lesson resources on the online education platform.
Monitor and report on attendance to lessons, engaging with the relevant professionals or guardians where necessary.
Measure and monitor progress using no-grade feedback methods to support the students in building a growth-mindset.
Provide students with regular, high-quality feedback
Engage in strategic planning for the development of the OEP
Person specification:
Qualified teacher status
Undergraduate degree in a related subject
Excellent communication skills
Excellent IT and organisational skills
An interest in working with children with complex needs
An understanding of the technology available through the apple education store
