What you will do in your working day
Whilst in the workplace you will be involved in all sheet metal processes, such as:
* Punching
* Laser Profiling
* Panel bending
* Press Brake work
* Fabrication & Welding
* Powder Coating and component assembly work
The training you will be getting
* During your 1st and 2nd years you will be studying towards the Metal Fabrication Standard AB242.
* Delivery method and location of training to be confirmed, but expected one day per week at College studying towards your qualifications.
* Qualifications earned could be any of the following;
o 1) Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) – Awarding organisation EAL; GLH 750, or
o 2) Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Technical Knowledge) – Awarding organisation Pearson; GLH 720 or
o 3) Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) Awarding organisation City & Guilds; GLH 720.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
* Within Greenfield Engineering, there is the potential to progress to a Senior Management position
